MetLife Stadium is committed to a sustainable future and the environmental well-being of our community. In coordination with our partners, we strive to prioritize sustainable initiatives fostering a better future for generations to come.

UNFCCC Commitment

In 2021, MetLife Stadium became the first NFL stadium to join the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change’s Sports for Climate Action Framework, which aims to achieve global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions goals. Check out their website for more information.

  • Carpool or use public transportation whenever possible to conserve greenhouse gas emissions.

     

Green Tailgate

  • Separate aluminum cans and plastic bottles from regular trash by placing into blue trash liners. MetLife Stadium provides blue and clear trash liners to help you sort your tailgate waste.
  • When brining food for your tailgate, try to prioritize locally sourced foods and organic options.
  • Use reusable utensils, plates, and serving ware to reduce waste.

Inside The Stadium

  • Throw away plastic bottles and aluminum cans in the recycle bins located throughout the stadium.
  • Throw cigarette butts away in proper waste bins located on the plaza nearest the fence line.
